WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR RAW MATERIALS?

Saraswati papers are handmade from 100% consumer paper sourced from Offices, Homes, Schools and businesses around Bali. We also work in collaboration with Eco Bali who supply us with waste paper.

DO YOU USE ANY MACHINERY IN THE PAPER MAKING PROCESS?

We are a very low tech company. Just one custom designed paper mulcher is used. The rest of the paper making process is entirely by hand

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE WATER USED IN THE PAPER MAKING PROCESS?

The water is strained and recycled to make more paper. There is no risk of chemicals leeching back into the water table.

HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE WASTE PAPER?

Waste paper is sorted and graded by hand and cleaned by boiling in plain water. No chemicals or bleaches are used to clean the waste paper.

CAN I PRINT ON THE PAPERS?

Yes, our handmade papers are suitable for digital printing, silk screen printing and a variety of art projects.

DO YOU HAVE MINIMUM ORDERS?

We can make from 1 to 10,000’s of pieces. Prices vary accordingly.
